Lonnie Walker IV’s basketball career is continuing, but he won’t be in the NBA, at least not right now.
On Monday morning, it was announced that Walker will be joining Maccabi Tel Aviv and will move overseas to play basketball.
Walker’s contract is for the next three seasons, but it does give him the option and ability to come back to the NBA if a team calls upon him.

It includes an out-clause for each summer, which means that he can still pursue NBA opportunities.
Those opportunities may pop up because Walker has done some impressive things for multiple teams throughout the years.
He has a career average of 10.0 points and 2.3 rebounds on 42.2 percent from the field.
He last played for the Philadelphia 76ers, where he posted 12.4 points and 3.2 rebounds over 20 games in 2024-25.
Walker has spent time in the EuroLeague, playing with Zalgiris, averaging 13.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists.
He was hoping to find another contract with an NBA team, but that didn’t happen, so now he is heading to a foreign league once again.
Maccabi envision Walker as a crucial part of their offense, and they expect big things from him.
He is a young and energetic player, and could produce plenty for Maccabi, but he also might carve a path back to the US.
He might not be in the NBA, but the future is still bright for Walker.
