“All Black American athletes need to boycott and stop attending the University of Michigan,” a second person said.
“Black Athletes @UMich should not play,” another person tweeted. “Black recruits should not commit. The school has demonstrated what it thinks of you. We don’t have to consent to this nonsense.”
“Black athletes should refuse to play for ANY school who does this and watch how quickly it gets resolved,” a fourth person pointed out.
According to the email that Michigan sent out on Thursday, some students on campus didn’t felt like the DEI initiatives “fell short in fostering connections among diverse groups.”
