Former Star QB Recruit’s Sudden Passing at 49 Sparks Outpouring of Shock and Mystery
“We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Tim Strachan ’94, after battling cancer for over a year now. Tim was a great Stag. We will have much more on Tim and his legacy in the next few days. Rest in Peace brother,” his alma mater DeMatha Catholic High School wrote.
“Tim Strachan was a T5 QB in the Class of ’94 out of DeMatha Catholic High School in Maryland, an elite QB class that included Peyton Manning. Tim’s CFB dreams were dashed when he was paralyzed in a diving accident just before his senior year. But he was undaunted, and used his story as a testimony that inspired countless people. Tim passed today. He was 49,” wrote ESPN’s Marty Smith.
