Fernández is still a quality footballer and a very usable FPL midfielder, but Chelsea’s situation makes him harder to trust right now. There’s been enough internal noise around the club to raise questions, and he’s even been banned from the Manchester City match by head coach Liam Rosenior. The big question is whether he walks straight back into the side for the double. At this stage, that uncertainty is enough to make him a sell on wildcard. If you want Chelsea coverage, Cole Palmer and João Pedro are the only two I’d really be prioritising. Fernandez can still tick over, but there are cleaner ways into that attack.
