FPL Shockwaves: Are Mbeumo and Timber Set for a Sudden Drop Ahead of GW32?
Jurriën Timber (6.3m)
The logic here is simple: sell Timber, keep Gabriel. Arsenal going out of the FA Cup to Southampton was not what FPL managers wanted to see, because it removes the possibility of a double and makes their defensive planning less attractive. Arsenal are still a strong defensive side, of course, and they can keep a clean sheet against anyone, but the upside just isn’t the same now. Next week’s fixture against Manchester City will likely be tight, not explosive, and that suits Gabriel more than a more expensive right-back punt. If you’re choosing where to spend your money in defence, I’d rather target the teams with the double gameweek in mind.
