“Heartbreak and Revelation: Kyren Lacy’s Father Speaks Out Amidst Tragedy”
Lacy was found dead in Houston on Saturday at age 24. WAFB reported his death as a suspected suicide. The NFL Draft prospect was scheduled to begin a grand jury hearing for his alleged role in a fatal hit-and-run car crash on Monday.
His father, Kenny Lacy, posted a heart-wrenching message Sunday on Facebook.
“Young parents, start talking to your kids at a very early age and make sure they are confident and comfortable confiding in you,” he wrote. “Don’t be cool with ‘I’m Alright’ or ‘I’m good’ when you know deep down something isn’t right. Mental Health is real, and for the most part, it’s invisible. Don’t ignore the signs, even if they may seem small.”
