Hidden Contenders Emerge as Top Destinations for D’Angelo Russell This Offseason—Is a Blockbuster Move Brewing?
— Evan Sidery (@esidery) June 28, 2025
Russell posted 12.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 5.6 assists during his time with the Nets in 2024-25.
Before that, it was 12.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.7 assists with the Lakers.
Russell would love to remain a starting point guard, but the Mavericks have bigger plans with Irving when he is healthy.
Of course, Russell could impress and somehow work his way into the starting rotation long-term.
His last few years have been up-and-down, with some fans calling Russell inconsistent and not putting in 100 percent effort.
