How Jalen Lott’s Commitment Could Redefine Oregon Football’s 2026 Recruiting Destiny

Lanning is starting July by taking the Ducks success one step further. With the addition, Oregon’s class rose in the recruiting rankings from No. 14 to No. 9.June featured endless blue-chip visitors and commitments from five-star safety Jett Washington, four-star wide receiver Messiah Hampton and four-star quarterback Bryson Beaver. For good measure, Lanning ended the month with a flip, taking three-star interior offensive lineman Koloi Keli from the California Golden Bears. As a result, Oregon jumped into the top 25 of the national recruiting rankings. Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks are staying hot on the recruiting trail this summer.Last week, four-star IOL Tommy Tofi committed to the Ducks. Tofi decommitted from California on Monday and quickly picked up a prediction to commit to Oregon. Tofi has long been one of the top Oregon targets in the 2026 class. He then added 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho as well, the top-ranked lineman in Oregon program history.

The fun may not stop there, either. Over the next couple of weeks, a handful of Oregon targets are scheduled to announce their commitments, so the Ducks could add at least one five-star and multiple four-stars to the class.

Then on Tuesday, they added another elite player, getting a commitment from 4-star WR Jalen Lott, the No. 49 player in the nation.Contact/Follow @Ducks_Wire on X (formerly Twitter) and like our page on Facebook to follow ongoing coverage of Oregon Ducks news, notes, and opinions.

There’s an unmistakable buzz swirling around the Oregon Ducks this summer, and no, it’s not just the heat of July. Dan Lanning and his crew have been turning heads, racking up blue-chip talent left and right. June alone saw commitments from heavy-hitters like five-star safety Jett Washington and promising four-star recruits Messiah Hampton and Bryson Beaver. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Lanning managed to snag a flip with Koloi Keli, an interior offensive lineman who switched allegiance from the California Golden Bears—a move that catapulted Oregon into the top 25 nationally. Now, with July underway, the Ducks are amping things up even more, welcoming four-star IOL Tommy Tofi and 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho, arguably one of the best linemen the program has ever laid claim to. And if that wasn’t enough, they also locked in 4-star WR Jalen Lott, boosting their class from 14th to 9th in the rankings. With several more top prospects poised to make their decisions soon, Oregon’s recruiting story this summer is shaping up to be one heck of a thriller. LEARN MORE
