Well, Jaxson Dart just rewrote the quarterback playbook with a feat no one saw coming: rushing for a touchdown in five consecutive games. It sounds almost cinematic — the scrappy underdog darting past defenders at Soldier Field, dodging not just tackles but the pressure mounting on a struggling Giants squad. Yet, amidst the spectacle, a brutal hit rattled Dart and shifted the game’s momentum, leaving fans and the Giants alike to grapple with what might have been. Is this the dawn of a new Giants era, or just another bittersweet chapter? Whatever the answer, Dart’s Sunday performance is a story that dives deep — beyond stats, into grit and what it truly means to break records when everything’s on the line.

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart left their Week 10 game against the Chicago Bears after taking a hard hit on a designed run. After losing a fumble, he returned for one additional series before veteran Russell Wilson replaced him at the start of the fourth quarter.

It was later revealed that Dart suffered a concussion. The rookie had been performing well before his exit, completing 19 of 29 passes for 242 yards and adding six carries for 66 yards and two touchdowns.

His performance included a notable achievement that placed him in the NFL record books. Dart became the first quarterback in league history to rush for a touchdown in five consecutive games.

His departure shifted the momentum of a contest the Giants had controlled for three quarters. Now, this latest loss will only increase the pressure on head coach Brian Daboll and continue to raise questions about his job security.

The Bears found new life once Wilson took over. Chicago trailed for most of the afternoon and appeared headed for another defeat.

Wilson struggled to generate momentum after replacing Dart, giving the Bears an opening. Their comeback began when Caleb Williams connected with Rome Odunze on a short touchdown pass.

Minutes later, Williams finished it himself with a rushing touchdown that secured the victory.

New York was left to consider missed opportunities in a game that slipped away after Dart’s exit. The loss, combined with Dart’s potential continued absence, extends the team’s struggles and adds urgency to the concerns surrounding its direction.
