Flyers interim head coach Brad Shaw didn’t get into details describing York’s absence from Thursday’s 6-4 win against the Canadiens, per Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.
York admitted frustration about being sidelined, particularly during Tuesday’s 7–2 loss in Toronto when the Flyers were forced to finish the game with only five defensemen.
“Sitting on the bench there in that type of game is never fun,” York said. “You never want to put your teammates in that type of situation.”
