Andrei Vasilevskiy isn’t getting any younger and the depth chart behind him is thin within the Lightning organization. This is the range where goalies like Medvedev, Semyon Frolov, Lucas Beckman and Jack Ivankovic could start getting serious consideration, too. The Lightning take Medvedev, a talented goalie who is one of the youngest players in the draft. Austin Elliott wouldn’t give back the net with the Knights this year but Medvedev impressed in his action in the first half of the season as well. —
