Inside the Rookie Big Man’s Shocking Revelation Behind the Sixers’ 2025 Draft Decision
The Philadelphia 76ers sought and found another big man in the draft this year, selecting Johni Broome as the 35th overall pick on Thursday night.
Broome is coming off a great run in college and is ready to convert his collegiate skills into professional ones.
Speaking to Keith Pompey, Broome opened up about why he was selected and why he’s the right fit for the Sixers.
“I think we’re here to play basketball. They thought I was a good basketball player. All the things that go inside of it can be taken however you wanna take it,” Broome said. “But at the end of the day, we’re still playing basketball. So I think I contribute to winning. I’m a good teammate. I’m a good guy to have in an organization. So I think that’s why they chose a guy like me.”
