The past 15 years or so have been filled with massive realignment in college sports. It all started with Nebraska going to the Big Ten and Texas A&M and Missouri going to the SEC. Since then, we’ve seen Texas and Oklahoma heading to the SEC, Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA heading to the Big Ten, and the ACC and Big 12 looking completely different.
But more realignment could reportedly be coming.
ESPN reported on Sunday night that college sports are on the verge of more realignment. ESPN college football insider Pete Thamel reported that “the industry is bracing for a ripple of realignment.”
