Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow and his wife, Demi-Leigh, took a trip to the nation’s capital this week to visit President Trump in the White House. 

Tebow met Demi-Leigh at one of his charity events in 2018. Two years later, they got married in Cape Town, South Africa. Before they even walked down the aisle for their special day, the former Heisman Trophy winner told People Magazine, “I’ve been waiting my entire life for someone special, who I can spend the rest of my life with.” 

It’s been a great year so far for Tim and Demi-Leigh. They announced in January that they’re expecting their first child together. Two months later, they revealed they’re having a girl.  

“Baby Tebow is a…GIRL,” the happy couple wrote on Instagram. “Our greatest blessing. We’ve been praying for her long before we knew her, and we’re beyond grateful that God chose us to be her parents. We can’t wait to meet you, baby girl.” 

While there’ll be plenty of buzz surrounding the Tebow family once they welcome their first child into the world, Tim and Demi-Leigh are currently making headlines for their meeting President Trump.  

Margo Martin, a communications advisor for President Trump, shared a photo of Tim and Demi-Leigh doing the “Gator Chomp” in the Oval Office. Unsurprisingly, that image went viral on social media, receiving over 600,000 views in less than 24 hours.

Tebow’s wife, who won the title of Miss Universe in 2017, wore a classy black dress to the White House. 

For the most part, Demi-Leigh received a round of applause for her White House attire.

Tebow, a two-time national champion, has been fighting against human trafficking and child exploitation for the past few years. It wouldn’t surprise us if that topic came up during his visit to the White House.

“We’ve been in this fight for over 10 years, since my dad was overseas and able to purchase the freedom of four little girls and I just knew that day that I was called to fight for the most vulnerable and that’s what we’re trying to do and we’re fortunate to do that in 90 countries around the world to fight for the MVPs: the world’s most vulnerable people,” Tebow said last August. 

President Trump has not yet commented on his recent visit with Tebow.
