It’s no surprise then that Meyer understands what Kalen DeBoer is going through at Alabama. In his first season replacing the legendary Nick Saban, DeBoer went 9-4 overall. It was the first time the Crimson Tide lost three SEC games in one season since 2010 and the program’s most losses in a single year since going 7-6 in 2007.
For 2025, Las Vegas oddsmakers have set Alabama’s over/under win total at 9.5. On “The Triple Option” podcast with colleagues Rob Stone and Mark Ingram, Meyer said he believes DeBoer’s team will eclipse that number.
