Is Jordan Love the NFL’s Most Underrated Quarterback? The Surprising Stats You Need to See
When it comes to Jordan Love, the chatter around NFL circles feels like a tug-of-war between skepticism and quiet admiration — but have we all been looking at him through the wrong lens? Sure, some folks still wonder if he’s truly the Green Bay Packers’ guy, while others swear he’s on the cusp of elite franchise legend status. Yet, here’s the kicker: when Love’s standing tall in a clean pocket, his numbers aren’t just good; they’re downright dazzling. Leading the league in completion rate, yards per attempt, and PFF grade, with a passer rating that’s almost off the charts — he’s painting a picture that deserves more than just a side glance. Could it be that the oft-criticized quarterback is quietly rewriting the script right under our noses? Let’s peel back the layers and see what’s really going on behind those flashy stats and a battered offensive line.

For years, NFL fans have debated the value of Jordan Love.
Some believe he’s not the right quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, whereas others argue he’s deserving of a spot on their elite franchise list.
Perhaps the truth lies somewhere in between.
Though the jury might still be out on him, when given a clean pocket, his numbers this season are stellar.
Love leads the NFL in completion rate (87.2 percent), yards per attempt (10.7) and PFF grade (93.9), and is second in passer rating (140.3).
Jordan Love from a clean pocket so far this season:
• 87.2% completion rate (1st)
• 10.7 yards per attempt (1st)
• 93.9 PFF grade (1st)
• 140.3 passer rating (2nd)— Daire Carragher (@DaireCarragher) September 30, 2025
He is on pace to throw for 4,250 yards, 34 touchdowns and four interceptions.
While that last stat might not be sustainable throughout the course of the entire season because he tends to make reckless throws, he’s taken care of the football so far.
Despite playing behind a banged-up offensive line, when given time, Love has been lights out this season, and it’s time he gets the credit he deserves.
Love still has to prove himself in the biggest games, which has been the lingering question mark for him and head coach Matt LaFleur.
But with the Packers at some point getting Christian Watson, Zach Tom and Aaron Banks back on the field, Love could be in a position to silence his critics once and for all.
The bar is high at Lambeau Field, but he’s trending in the right direction.
