“We see what we got,” Horton said. “And we know we’re going to be nice. We know we’re going to be special. And we are. We just got to keep working.”
“That’s my guy,” Horton said. “He was my 7-on-7 quarterback in high school. So yeah, we had that little chemistry… Kind of one of the reasons why I came here, to get back with him. He’s a stud. He’s going to be one of them ones. I believe in him. That’s my guy.”
When Horton transferred to the Crimson Tide, he said it was for a quarterback too: Ty Simpson.
“(Horton) was like, ‘Hey, Alabama hit me up. What do you think?’” Simpson said. “And I was like, ‘Dude, you’re crazy if you don’t come visit and come here. … This offense is built for guys like you.’” Alabama will hold its annual A Day spring game at Bryant-Denny Stadium at noon April 12.In an interview with the Crimson Tide Sports Network, the Alabama football wide receiver talked about his quarterback at Miami, Cam Ward, and his confidence, his preparedness, how “everything he did was for a purpose.”
