Ja’Marr Chase Drops Unexpected Bombshell About Joe Burrow That Has Fans Shocked

Is Ja’Marr Chase throwing subtle shade at Joe Burrow, or is there more beneath the surface? The Cincinnati Bengals, boasting one of the sharpest quarterbacks in the league, suddenly find themselves in the middle of a curious debate stirred up by none other than their star wideout. Chase’s recent comments comparing Burrow to Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen have raised a few eyebrows—and if you ask me, it’s not often you hear a teammate suggest opponents prepare mostly for the weapons rather than the quarterback himself. What’s going on inside the Bengals’ locker room? With an offseason already fraught with distractions, can the team afford this kind of headline? Let’s break down the layers here—because yes, Burrow’s brilliance is undeniable, but there’s a twist in the tale that’s got fans and analysts buzzing.

The Cincinnati Bengals have one of the best quarterbacks in the game.

However, teammate Ja’Marr Chase might not be that impressed with Joe Burrow.

“When you turn on Joe’s tape, it’s different from Josh Allen’s tape. Completely different. People game plan against Josh Allen, not against Joe Burrow. They play against his game weapons. That’s the difference,” Chase said on “Up & Adams,” via MLFootball.

Chase is known for his outspoken nature, and this isn’t the first time that he’s made some questionable remarks.

Of course, there’s no shame in giving Allen his flowers.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback is the reigning NFL MVP for a reason, and he’s a dual threat because of his big arm and his speed and strength as a scrambler.

Then again, to say that about Burrow, who was a national championship teammate at LSU and made the Super Bowl in his first year in the league, is odd.

Chase is able to put up his big numbers because Burrow is throwing him the football.

The Bengals have made news for all the wrong reasons this offseason, from Trey Hendrickson’s contract extension fiasco to first-round pick Shemar Stewart not wanting to sign before ultimately doing so.

All things considered, this isn’t the type of distraction a team needs with so much at stake.

Perhaps these words were meant differently, but there’s no need to put yourself in that position to begin with if you’re Chase.
