Jared Goff Drops Surprising Revelation About Amon-Ra St. Brown That Changes Everything

Can a wide receiver truly change the entire dynamic of a team’s offense? Watching Amon-Ra St. Brown torch the Chicago Bears with three touchdowns and 115 yards last week, I’m inclined to say yes—and then some. Jared Goff’s glowing praise, calling him possibly one of the best players in the entire NFL right now, isn’t just locker-room hyperbole; it’s a testament to how St. Brown’s relentless hustle, sure hands, and sheer explosiveness are forcing defenses into impossible choices. The Detroit Lions’ Week 2 statement wasn’t just about bouncing back—it was about announcing that their offense, with St. Brown at the center, is cooking up something special. As they head into a primetime clash with the Ravens, one question lingers: can anyone slow down this rising star blazing through coverage with the confidence of a seasoned pro?

The Detroit Lions bounced back in a big way in Week 2.

There was clearly no love lost for former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson.

The Lions made a statement and kept on scoring against the Chicago Bears and their new head coach.

Notably, plenty of that had to do with wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who had one of the best games of his career.

Afterward, quarterback Jared Goff had the ultimate compliment for his preferred target.

“You could talk about him as one of the best players in the entire league right now,” Goff said.

A fourth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, St. Brown has established himself as one of the top wide receivers in the league.

Not only does he have some of the most reliable hands in the game, he also shows physicality as a blocker and a willingness to put his body on the line.

Against the Bears, he had nine receptions for 115 yards and three touchdowns.

Goff has a plethora of weapons at his disposal, and they all feed off one another.

But as much as St. Brown benefits from the defensive attention his teammates draw, he’s also a major reason why everybody else is dealing with single coverage.

There’s no way to ignore him because of his explosiveness and speed.

Now, he’ll look to build on his momentum when the Lions visit the Baltimore Ravens on “Monday Night Football.”
