Last season, Markkanen posted an average of 19.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists on 42.3 percent from the field.
He has been a mainstay in Utah for the last three seasons, and the Jazz have repeatedly said they envision a bright future with him leading the franchise.
