Taking to X over the weekend, former Notre Dame running back and Super Bowl champion Jonas Gray shared a post about Fighting Irish cornerback Leonard Moore, who ranks among the top corners in the country heading into 2025. Gray poked the bear by staying that Moore “strapped up” Smith in the national title game.
“He actually strapped up Jeremiah Smith in the Natty, but people aren’t ready to have that conversation yet,” Gray wrote.
Gray was swiftly crushed by the replies, with just about everyone pointing out that Smith had five receptions for 88 yards and a crucial touchdown.
