It’s certainly an interesting move for Ohio State to even allow given that the football program has its own brand deal with Nike. We’ll probably find out soon how Smith will manage to represent both brands as required by the school.
Smith had 76 receptions for 1,315 yards and 15 touchdowns plus another touchdown on the ground en route to winning a national title in 2024. Had he been eligible for the NFL Draft, there’s very little doubt he would have been the top non-quarterback if not the top player taken in the 2025 NFL Draft.
