Joe Burrow Drops Surprising Endorsement: Bengals WR's Future Now Unstoppable?

Is it just me, or does it feel like the Bengals are cooking up something more than just the usual preseason hype this year? Joe Burrow, the guy who can sling a football like it’s second nature, just dropped some serious praise on Mitchell Tinsley — a wide receiver who’s been flying under the radar like a stealth bomber. Now, we all know Cincinnati’s armed with top-tier weapons already, but Burrow’s endorsement makes you wonder: Could Tinsley be the secret ingredient that pushes this offense from solid to spectacular? After lighting it up against the Commanders with highlight-reel catches, he’s staking a claim for a roster spot — and frankly, with the pressure mounting on coach Zac Taylor, every dependable, savvy player counts. The real question is, will the Bengals recognize this gem before they make a move that surprises even their own quarterback? Stay tuned..

The Cincinnati Bengals already have two of the best pass catchers in the NFL.

However, you can never have too much talent, especially when you’re trying to put together a Super Bowl run.

With that in mind, star quarterback Joe Burrow recently had the ultimate endorsement for unheralded wide receiver Mitchell Tinsley, making a case for him to make the 53-man roster.

“That guy’s been making plays all camp. Hopefully, he secured a spot for us. He’s a guy that you can count on. He’s a smart guy and knows all the positions. A guy you can trust like that is very valuable,” Burrow said, via Warren Sharp.

That’s not a surprise, given how he dominated in the preseason win against the Washington Commanders.

With star wideouts Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins sitting out, Tinsley and Charlie Jones were the primary pass catchers for Burrow and Jake Browning.

Tinsley had five receptions for 73 yards, including two highlight touchdown grabs that came 20 seconds apart.

He started his career with the Washington Commanders, signing with them as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State in 2023. He got into two games and played three offensive snaps, with seven on special teams.

He signed with the Bengals this offseason and is facing an uphill battle to make the final roster. Nevertheless, he’s made a strong impression.

The Bengals won’t have much margin for error this season, with head coach Zac Taylor potentially coaching for his job.

After watching the way they’ve dealt with roster building and handling their stars, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them ignore Burrow and part with Tinsley anyway.
