Kirk Herbstreit had some big family news to share on Sunday evening.

The ESPN college football analyst, who also covers the NFL for Amazon Prime, announced that there has been a new addition to his family.

The Herbstreits are a big golden retriever family. Their eldest golden retriever, Ben, passed away last year. Herbstreit had been taking his eldest dog on the road with him during the football season, when he’s traveling all over the country for college football and NFL games.

“Some people [have] said, ‘He’s sick. Why do you take him on the road?’ It’s because it feeds his soul to be out on the road with people and interacting and meeting people,” Herbstreit said last fall about bringing his dog, Ben, on the road. “His tail is constantly wagging, and he just goes up.”

Sunday night, Kirk Herbstreit announced that his family had added a new dog to the family.

Herbstreit announced the cool family news on Sunday evening, May 4.

“Meet our newest member to the crew. This is Beau! Born 1-19-25-we’ve had him for a few days now-he’s doing awesome and looks like he’s gonna be a monster. Same Dad as Peter-so obviously half brothers. Peter and Beau wrestling all day!” he announced.

Congratulations are pouring in.
