Chase Herbstreit was a three-star prospect in the Class of 2025 per 247Sports. He was the No. 149 QB in the nation and the No. 96 player from the state of Ohio.

Kirk played football at Ohio State, where he was a quarterback in his own right before going into broadcasting.
