The longtime ESPN college football analyst and Amazon Prime NFL analyst knows what a colleague is going through. Former Michigan Wolverines tight end turned college football analyst Jake Butt has experienced a tough loss. Butt took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share his difficult news.
Butt, who played tight end at Michigan, was a two-time All-American. He starred for the Wolverines from 2013-16. Unfortunately, Butt experienced a difficult loss this weekend.
His dog, Whopper, passed away.
“The best of dogs seemingly transcend the label of ‘pet,’ and truly become a part of your family. I’m not sure the factors that play into that beyond luck. Whopper, from the day we brought him home, to the very last minute of his life, and even now after he has left us, has been and will be a part of our family,” he announced.
