Lamine Yamal’s Stunning Brace Sparks Buzz—Is This Barcelona’s Next Superstar?
FC Barcelona kicked off their Asian tour in style with a dominant 7–3 victory over FC Seoul in a high-scoring preseason friendly. The match was highlighted by a brilliant performance from Lamine Yamal, who scored twice in the first half and continues to prove why he’s the club’s most exciting young talent.
The action started early when Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring in the 8th minute, finishing off a quick attacking move to put Barça in front.
But the home side responded quickly: Cho Youngwook and Yazan Al-Arab both found the net to stun the visitors and momentarily give FC Seoul a 2–1 lead. That’s when Lamine Yamal took over.
The 18-year-old winger scored his first goal in the 14th minute, calmly slotting home to equalize the match at 2–2. Just before halftime — in the 45th minute +3 of stoppage time — Yamal struck again, this time finishing off a perfect assist from Dani Olmo to send Barcelona into the break with a 3–2 lead.
Second-half firepower
Yamal, who wore the legendary No. 10 jersey, was substituted at halftime and replaced by Roony Bardghji in the 46th minute. But Barcelona’s dominance continued.
In the 55th minute, Andreas Christensen added a fourth goal with a well-placed header. Then came a scoring spree: Ferran Torres netted the fifth in the 74th minute, and just a minute later, Gavi made it 6–2 with a powerful strike, capping off a thrilling offensive display.
