Markkanen shot the ball 33 times, sinking 15 of his attempts. He also landed six of his 17 three-point attempts.

So far this year, Markkanen is averaging 30.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists on 47.9 percent from the field and 38.9 percent from the three-point line. If those numbers hold, that will be the best points average of his career.

A lot of people expected the Jazz to sit at the bottom of the Western Conference standings all season long, but that hasn’t been the case. Their 5-8 record isn’t amazing, of course, but it’s better than some analysts and fans predicted.
