Longtime College Football Coach Mark Richt Faces Unseen Battle—Prayers Flood In Worldwide

Prayers are pouring in for longtime college football coach Mark Richt on Sunday night.

Richt, 65, served as the head coach of Georgia from 2001-15 and Miami from 2016-18. He won two SEC championships and one ACC Coastal Division championship. Richt, born in Omaha, Nebraska, is a two-time SEC Coach of the Year and a one-time ACC Coach of the Year.

He was named the Walter Camp National Coach of the Year in 2017, after leading Miami to a 10-3 season and Orange Bowl appearance.
