Arteta has made two changes from the side that prevailed at Old Trafford.

Noni Madueke makes his first start for the club, replacing Gabriel Martinelli.

At the back, Jurrien Timber comes in for the injured Ben White, while midfielder and captain Martin Odegaard makes his 200th appearance for Arsenal.

Fifteen-year-old Max Dowman, who impressed for Arsenal in pre-season, is named among the substitutes.

Noah Okafor, signed from AC Milan this week, is on the bench. There is no place in the squad for striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
