The Cornhuskers are looking to carry the momentum that they had at the end of the 2024 season into this next one. It was the first time they’ve won at least seven games since 2016 when Mike Riley was the head coach.
This will be Rhule’s third season as head coach after he took over the Cornhuskers ahead of the 2023 season. He has compiled a 12-13 record in two seasons as head coach.
The Cornhuskers will open the 2025 season against the Cincinnati Bearcats on August 28. They’ll have their home opener the following week on September 6 against the Akron Zips.
