Surprise, surprise: Despite finishing the regular season 31-0, the Miami Redhawks rank second in the conference in TRACR to Akron, which is why the Zips are favored to win the conference tournament. Miami, however, won their lone regular-season meeting 76-73 on Jan. 3.
Given the gaudy record, it’s hard to imagine Miami missing out on an NCAA bid even if it bows out early in the MAC Tournament. But TRACR views Akron as a viable candidate for an at-large berth as well.
