Micah Parsons Drops Shocking Truth About Packers’ Defense That No One Saw Coming
So here we are—Green Bay, touted as the heavy favorites, facing off against a Dallas Cowboys lineup missing key players, and yet, what do we get? A nail-biting tie and a defensive performance that left Micah Parsons downright fired up. I mean, how often do you hear a star edge rusher openly snap at his own team like that? “Giving up 40 points… unacceptable.” Those words kind of linger, don’t they? Especially when you consider Parsons was nursing a nagging back injury and this was supposed to be his moment against his old squad. But football, much like life, doesn’t always hand you the script you expect. And with special teams botching crucial points and the Packers staring down a bye week filled with questions and adjustments, one wonders: Can this team really bounce back from yet another slip-up on the road? Let’s dive in.

The Green Bay Packers were big road favorites in Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys.
They were supposed to shut down an offense that was missing two starting offensive linemen and its best wide receiver.
However, the Cowboys were able to earn a tie in the high-scoring affair.
That’s why, following the game, Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons blasted his team’s performance.
“Giving up 40 points, I don’t care where you’re playing, that’s unacceptable. … I take ownership,” Parsons said.

Parsons was expected to have a career game against his former team.
Unfortunately, he was dealing with a lingering back issue, and other than an overtime tackle of Dak Prescott, he didn’t have much of an impact.
The Cowboys were without starting guard Trevor Booker, starting center Cooper Beebe and star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.
Of course, anybody can have a bad day, and Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer also deserves a lot of credit for the game plan.
Nevertheless, the Packers have to feel like they let another one slip away.
Special teams were an issue with a blocked kick, which has now cost them in consecutive weeks.
Those two points Dallas earned with the extra-point return wound up being crucial, and that’s something that could come back to haunt Green Bay when playoff seeding comes.
The Packers now have a bye week, which can allow starting right tackle Zach Tom to return, while head coach Matt LaFleur and his staff have plenty of adjustments to make after another disappointing outing on the road.
