Recently, Missouri football head coach Eli Drinkwitz warned that college football could quickly become what we have seen in the MLB in recent years. His warning stems from the fact that if teams are playing each other with a difference of up to $30 million, there’s a real competitive balance issue.

When blue bloods and powerhouse programs outspend certain programs by almost $30 million, there is an issue. Without any regulation, such as a salary cap, it’s only going to continue growing exponentially.
