1. RHP Seth Hernandez, Corona High School (CA)
It’s not Hernandez’s fault that history tells major-league teams that selecting a high school right-handed pitcher at or near the top of the draft is a dangerous decision that often yields a poor return on investment. All he can do is continue to develop his craft on the mound and show why he could be the rare exception, the one who blossoms into the kind of full-blown ace that every team covets.
