Each man was charged with conspiracy to commit interstate transportation of stolen property. Amid these incidents, both the NBA and NFL issued warnings to their players about taking precautions.

Last month, a Seattle man was charged with burglarizing the homes of Luis Castillo and Julio Rodriguez of the Seattle Mariners, former Seattle Seahawks player Richard Sherman, and Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Blake Snell. There was also an attempted burglary at the home at former Mariner and baseball Hall of Famer Edgar Martinez.
