“The NBA will return to painting the Larry O’Brien trophy at center court and Finals script logo on the home team’s floor for the Finals starting this season, per sources. The last time the large trophy was painted on court was 2009,” Charania posted on X.

The courts used to have a giant image of the Larry O’Brien trophy front and center during every match of the Finals.
Meanwhile, “The Finals” was written on the court as well in elegant script.
The league changed that years ago, instead choosing to have normal courts with very minimal decorations that celebrated the championship.
Fans have repeatedly cried out for this change, and those demands have apparently reached the right ears after nearly two decades.
This change will add a level of class to the games, and it will remind fans of the many wonderful championships from years ago.
The league has said that it listens to fans about all matters, but they don’t often make changes.
