But head coach Steve Sarkisian balked at making Arch the starter from the jump. He kept the experienced Quinn Ewers as his starter for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Sarkisian only really gave spot duty to Arch when the team was comfortably ahead or when Ewers suffered the occasional injury.
