Nick Bjugstad, a massive 6-foot-5, right-shot center, is either an elite fourth liner or a low-end third-line contributor, depending on how he is deployed. He should slot in perfectly as the Blues’ fourth-line center to replace Radek Faksa. The two are different stylistically — Faksa is better defensively and in the faceoff dot — but Bjugstad has a way higher offensive ceiling, both as a scorer and a play-driver. He is coming off a down year in Utah, but he’s also only a year removed from scoring 22 goals and 45 points in 2023-24.
