The Kings are proving those who predicted imminent doom after an uninspiring offseason wrong. They’re still getting it done with defense and goaltending. Darcy Kuemper is having a solid follow-up to his Vezina Trophy finalist season. Corey Perry and Joel Armia have been fine additions who have played up and down the lineup. They’ve managed to be in a playoff position because of their great road record, but they’ve got to squeeze out more offense.
