"Ohio State Legend Will Howard's Bold Challenge Leaves Michigan Fans Reeling!"

As the NFL Draft approaches, the spotlight is firmly on Will Howard, the talented quarterback from Ohio State, who recently had his moment in the press following a less-than-stellar NFL Combine performance. Now, if you’re wondering how much pressure a few missed throws can really put on a young athlete, Howard is here to share his thoughts. During Ohio State’s pro day, he didn’t hold back while addressing critics—most notably, fans from that other school up North. He firmly believes that the narrative around his Combine accuracy was blown way out of proportion. With an impressive college record of 4,010 passing yards and 35 touchdowns last season, it seems there’s more to the story than meets the eye! The Top 10 Wonderlic Scores In NFL Combine History (1:20)

Will Howard couldn’t help but take a jab at Michigan during Ohio State’s pro day this week.

Earlier this month, Howard received a decent amount of criticism for his performance at the NFL Combine. Some analysts thought he struggled with his accuracy at Lucas Oil Stadium. However, he’s not convinced his performance in Indianapolis was rough.

While at Ohio State’s pro day, Howard spoke to the media about a plethora of topics, including his performance at the NFL Combine. The national champion is convinced Michigan fans tried spreading a false narrative about him struggling to complete passes.

“The combine, obviously, there were some things said about it afterwards, but I thought I did pretty well,” Howard said. “I think, really, it was team up North’s fans blowing it out of proportion. I missed two throws obviously, but other guys did too.

“It’s definitely better being here in this building with my guys. You’re more comfortable, but you always want to put yourself in uncomfortable situations. I wasn’t mad about it. I thought I did well at the combine and I got good feedback from people except pretty much the media. It is what it is, it’s part of it.”

Michigan fans won’t love those remarks from Howard, that’s for sure.

Howard was excellent for the Buckeyes during the 2024 season, completing 73.1 percent of his passes for 4,010 yards with 35 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

Ohio State coach Ryan Day has already said that he expects Howard to thrive in the NFL.

“When Will’s feet are right, he is as good as anybody I’ve been around. His accuracy, his ability to see the way he commands the team, the work he puts in,” Day said. “I think the thing that nobody is probably going to understand how much credit he deserves is how much he can take on. I don’t think there was — to say 90 percent of the calls that went in the other day had two or three plays into it, and he’s calling a play or two in the huddle and then checking the play at the line of scrimmage, that’s NFL material right there. That’s special. Whichever organization decides to draft Will is going to get, like, a pro day one he’s walking in the door.”

It’s unclear where Howard will end up in the NFL Draft. As of right now, he’s projected to be a Day 2 pick.
