The Buckeyes and Longhorns will meet in a Cotton Bowl rematch on Saturday, Aug. 30. Earlier this month, FOX Sports updated an article that initially said it’d occupy the network’s Big Noon Kickoff slot.
According to Chip Brown of 247Sports, Ohio State asked to move the marquee matchup to Sunday in the evening or late afternoon. Texas rejected, leaving the game on Saturday. While still uncofirmed a noon start time appears likely.
Naturally, Texas and Ohio State fans feel differently about the reported refusal.
