Week 8 of college football is upon us, and it’ll be the seventh game for Ohio State after starting the year 6-0 and ranked No. 1 in both major polls ever since the Buckeyes beat Texas to open the season.
The Buckeyes hope to keep the train on the tracks towards a destination that hopefully ends in a Big Ten title and College Football Playoff national championship, but first they must travel to Madison to take on a Wisconsin team that’s searching for answers after losing four straight, including an embarrassing loss to Iowa in Camp Randall last weekend.
Each week that Ohio State has a football game, we like to ask our writers to weigh in on what they think will happen, including the final score outcome. So far, we’ve all been pretty good at this thing, and that’s mainly because OSU has been pretty good at the game of American football.
Here’s what each of our writers predicts for the game against Ohio State and Wisconsin on Saturday.

This isn’t the same daunting task for Ohio State that it used to be. Camp Randall is one of the toughest places to play in the country historically, but that often had a lot to do with the team that played in its confines. This year’s Wisconsin team just isn’t very good, and there should be a lot of yards to be had through the air. Look for the Buckeyes to roll.
Score Prediction: Ohio State 42, Wisconsin 7

With the way things transpired last week, which was Wisconsin’s homecoming by the way, I’d expect to see more Buckeye fans than Badger fans in the stands. And if not, the Wisconsin faithful will be heading for the exits by halftime.
Ryan Day won’t run it up on an OSU Alum, but I do expect this one to be well in hand by the start of the third period. Ohio State rolls into the bye week still unscathed, waiting for a date with Penn State.
Score Prediction: Ohio State 38, Wisconsin 3

Illinois was absolutely hammered by Indiana a few weeks ago. Maybe the Illini weren’t fully ready for facing a good team, but that seems like the right template for how to view this game. Ohio State is better than Indiana, and the Buckeyes should thoroughly dominate this matchup.
Score Prediction: Ohio State 41, Wisconsin 13

The Buckeyes go into Madison and roll Luke Fickell out of a job. Ohio State’s ground game opens up passing lanes for Julian Sayin, and Brandon Innis gets his first touchdown of the season as the Buckeyes win big.
Score Prediction: Ohio State 38, Wisconsin 6
