James, an Akron, Ohio native, became a household name at St. Vincent–St. Mary High School. Although he could’ve played for any college program in the United States, he elected to go pro straight out of high school. Obviously, he doesn’t regret that decision.
Despite not being an Ohio State alum, James has attended a handful of Ohio State football games over the years. His allegiance to the Buckeyes can’t be denied. Not only has he shown their athletic department a ton of love, he has given his time and money to the community.
