Patrick Beverley has faced Stephen Curry in multiple playoff series throughout his career.

Their first postseason matchup came in the 2016 NBA Playoffs when Beverley’s Houston Rockets met the Golden State Warriors in the first round.

The Warriors handled the series with relative ease, winning in five games.

Three years later, in 2019, Beverley encountered Curry again, this time as a member of the Los Angeles Clippers.

The result was similar, with Golden State defeating the Clippers in six games.

Years removed from those playoff battles, Beverley now holds Curry in the highest regard, recently declaring him the greatest point guard in basketball history.

“I know we talk about his ability to shoot the rock, shoot the ball from far as h***, right?… but, I honestly believe that we have to say that he’s the best point guard to ever play basketball,” Beverley stated on his podcast.

Beverley emphasized that Curry’s greatness extends beyond his shooting prowess.

He noted that Curry has maintained his elite level of play for years, highlighting the Warriors star’s longevity and dedication to physical maintenance as key factors in cementing his legacy as the greatest.

Curry’s resume speaks volumes about his impact on the game.

With four NBA championships, eleven All-Star selections, two scoring titles, and two MVP awards, he has already secured his place among basketball’s all-time greats.

What makes Curry’s story even more remarkable is that at 37 years old, he shows no signs of slowing down.

He currently leads all players in both three-pointers made and attempted while maintaining an exceptional 93% success rate from the free-throw line this season.

This efficiency isn’t new territory for Curry, who boasts a career free-throw percentage of 91.1%, demonstrating his remarkable consistency throughout his career.
