Purdue Fans Speak Out: Will the 2025 Football Season Trigger Shocking Firings?
Another week has rolled around, and here we are again, poised at the finish line of Friday with fresh data to dig into. This time, I streamlined the survey down to just two pivotal questions—one about football, the other basketball—to tap into the pulse of the fanbase. I couldn’t shake the feeling that the football scene has been stirring up a storm of frustration, so I wanted to see if others shared that simmering discontent and how they envision charting a way forward. On the hoops side, the curiosity was all about Purdue’s projected early Big Ten performance. The results? They tell a story well worth unpacking, revealing sharp divides and some intriguing confidence levels. Ready to dive into the details that everyone’s talking about?
We made it to the end of another week folks! That’s right it’s Friday. That means that the results of this week’s survey are in and ready for your review and debate. This week I again went with the one football question and one basketball question. I wanted to gauge if everyone was as angry about the football situation as I was and see how they wanted to move forward. Next, I wanted to see a prediction of Purdue’s early season Big Ten record.
Let’s get to the football question first shall we?
The top two answers here could not be more diametrically opposed (foes). The plurality voted that no one deserved to be fired for this one. 41% of respondents voted for this. However, coming up in second place with 35% was that the athletic director should be fired. Like I said, those two could not be further apart. I am on team fire the AD and others in the department. The last two seasons of Purdue football seem to be rudderless and in my opinion the AD dropped the ball in planning for the future of the football program.

Next, and these numbers might be a bit fudged as some people might have voted AFTER the Rutgers game, but still let’s take a look at the predictions for Purdue’s December Big Ten record.
An incredible 93% of voters believed that Purdue would go 2-0 in December. It makes sense given Purdue’s opponents are Rutgers and Minnesota, not exactly the top of the conference this season, but it’s still the Big Ten and could be tough. 1% believed Purdue would be 0-2. If that was you I’d love to hear your justification in the comments below.
