Quinn Ewers did play on Sunday. The former Texas Longhorns quarterback, who beat out Arch Manning for the QB1 job in back-to-back seasons, got some playing time in the Miami Dolphins vs. Chicago Bears game. It did not go very well.
The former Texas Longhorns quarterback completed 5 of 18 passes for 91 yards. He got sacked twice and fumbled twice. Reviews from his performance are not very flattering.

Ewers did lead Texas to the College Football Playoff semifinals last year, so it’s not like he was a bad college quarterback. And Arch Manning was a true freshman and then redshirt freshman. It’s possible – likely, even – that he’s much better now than he was heading into the 2024 and 2023 seasons.
