The Las Vegas Raiders have shaken up their entire organization this offseason by hiring general manager John Spytek and Super Bowl-winning head coach Pete Carroll, trading for new franchise quarterback Geno Smith and adding running back Ashton Jeanty with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The moves are still coming, as the Raiders recently made another major addition to the front office, naming Anthony Patch as a senior personnel executive after a successful tenure with the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

This is a major upgrade for one of the NFL’s worst drafting teams over the past few decades, and if Patch can replicate even a fraction of the success he had with the Eagles, the franchise is in for some good times.

Patch had been with the Eagles since 2002, so this is a surprising move after winning a second Super Bowl, and one would imagine that he is getting more money and influence in his new role with Las Vegas.

The Eagles have exhibited a clear type of player when it comes to team building, while the Raiders have been aimless on both sides of the ball and haven’t won a playoff game since the 2002 season.

It will be fun to see what the new regime can do now that there are some heavy hitters calling the shots.
