What’s up, Ravens fans? Ever wonder why a Baltimore flag fluttering over in London can make you feel half a world closer to Baltimore? Well, buckle up because the same sentiment holds for our squads when the Ravens fly high.. or when they soar just bit lower than we’d hoped.

In the cut-throat gauntlet of the NFL Playoffs, our Ravens once again took flight with all the gusto of a team destined for another Vince Lombardi Super Bowl glory. But here’s the thing.. despite our expectations, even with Lamar Jackson dazzling us with his highlights, and a roster teeming with talent, Baltimore came back earthbound after another playoff shortfall. Not to put too fine a point on it, but that stings, doesn’t it?

As we regroup and coach Harbaugh textbooks lesson defensive prowess, it all comes down to one wondering thought: What intricate puzzle pieces must the Ravens grab to complete the championship picturethey’ve been missing the last t years? Seriously, the Draft can be like assembling a football jigsaw, piecing together just the right fit.

Now mark Andrews, Baltimore’s stalwart tight end, has been that rock, the greybeard of consistency. But father time waits for no one, even those with the tightest of hands.. and all the whispers of trade murmurs got me thinking – Andrews, really? He might’ve lost a step careening towards his twilight years, but as Ravens GM Eric DeCosta puts it, “I really expect Mark to be on this team.”

Still, think about it: Time’s a merciless coach, isn for led Andrews closer to the amber of his career. We’ve a youthful dynamo in Isaiah Likely, the new(i guess newer) gen of pass-catching prowess. So here’s where your brain starts clicking, contemplating the future duties these two might share – or not.

The real question remains; can a season more of Andrews’ solid play be the glue the Ravens need while Likely crescendos to his loudest applause? Or are we all just holding onto the thresholds of our seats, waiting?
