Ravens Make Unexpected Move: Luke Elzinga Set to Shake Up Special Teams—What This Means for the Season!
Of the Baltimore Ravens’ 10 lost free agents this offseason, one that has perhaps flown under the radar is punter Jordan Stout. After a breakout All-Pro season in 2025, the New York Giants offered Stout a contract making him the highest-paid punter in NFL history and the Ravens did not re-sign him.
Now, for the first time in several years, the Ravens have a void at the position that they need to fill. After Sam Koch retired in 2022, the Ravens used a fourth-round draft pick to find his replacement, which was Stout. Whether they’d consider the same strategy in this year’s draft remains to be seen. However, the Ravens have at least made an initial move to bring a punter into the mix via free agency.
